Beginners
Beginner courses are offered to those students who have no prior knowledge of the language intended to study. These courses take students from the very basic building blocks of language to having sufficient linguistic skills to maintain communication and write about topics relating to everyday life..
Continuers
Japanese Continuers is offered in Yr 11 as a 2 Unit HSC course. This course is offered to students who have either studied Japanese for their School Certificate. The course builds on the students' prior knowledge as well as introducing them to more formal and complex structures of the language. All topics are based around the world of the student ‘My World' and the 'Japanese Speaking Community'. We explore these while working on grammar, language structure and cultural appreciation. The Extension course is offered in Yr 12 and it is for those students who have sound linguistic skills and wish to further their studies through the analysis of various texts and film.
