Practical
Students will rotate around the following practical activities:
- Classes look at the role of ‘playing in a team'. This involves aspects of attack and defence and the responsibilities of each player within the team.
- Students will have the opportunity to be assessed in the ability to create and design sequences of movement with or without music in a 'dance' unit.
- Students will be assessed in the variety of disciplines in 'athletics'.
Theory
Students will complete units on the following health topics:
- Relationships
- Sexual health
- Road safety
- Drugs
- Mental Health
These units look at the social issues and risk factors that face the 15 – 16 year old in the social setting. There will be a variety of teaching resources used including video/DVD material to support the module. If parents require more information regarding this material, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
