The Social Science Faculty at Westfields Sports is one of the biggest in the State with a complement of 10 dedicated Social Science teachers delivering seven separate subjects at Stage 6. Our team brings a diverse range of industry and teaching experience which adds value to student achievement. As a faculty our aim is to engage, educate and develop students within the subjects that we teach. We commit ourselves to providing innovative and creative learning environments that motivate and extend students, allowing them to reach their potential.

Opportunities to visit Australia's Courts, run and investigate the operation of small businesses, attend the Reserve Bank of Australia, participate in national competitions, develop oratory and negotiation skills in partnership with Universities and study the natural environment via field trips are just part of the many opportunities offered by the Faculty through its many excursions and extra curricula activities.
Scholarship in Social Science provides students with a solid appreciation of the domestic and international world of civics and citizenship as well as the analytical and communicative skills necessary to participate in the work force or further study at University or TAFE.
