Lateness

Students should endeavor to be at school on time, every day.

Arriving at school and class on time:

- ensures that students do not miss out on important learning activities scheduled early in the day

- helps students learn the importance of punctuality and routine

- reduces classroom disruption

Lateness is recorded as a partial absence and must be explained by parents/caregivers.

If a student is late they must:

- Report to the Late Window, Administration Office, A Block, with their ID Card

- Receive a late slip from the Late Window

- Show their late slip to the classroom teacher on arriving to class

Students must ensure they have their ID Cards when signing on late to school.

Replacement ID Cards are available from the Administration Office, A Block, at a cost of $10.00.

Students with chronic lateness may be placed on a Lateness Card and interviews may be conducted with parents/caregivers.

Westfields Sports will notify parents/caregives via an SMS if a student is late to school.
