To qualify for enrolment at Westfields Sports a student must either live in the local drawing area or be selected on merit as a talented sports person. The criteria for selection on merit in the Talented Sports Program are:

Successful applicants are required to be available to represent Westfields Sports in any Sydney South West, New South Wales Combined High Schools, New South Wales All Schools Carnival, game or competition for which she/he is selected.
As a high profile school, students may be interviewed and/or photographed by the media. Westfields Sports is proud of the achievements of their students. Frequently their achievements will be celebrated in print and electronic forms of publication. Parents are expected to grant approval for such media appearances.
All sport students and parents of sport students enrolling at Westfields Sports are required to sign a Code of Conduct, which reinforces the conditions of their participation in the Talented Sports Program.
A condition of “out-of-area” entry to Westfields Sports High School is membership of a Talented Sports Program. In the event that a student withdraws or is withdrawn from a Talented Sports Program, they will be expected to leave the school.
